Some encrypted sparse bundles are not scanned during a scan of the entire system

Issue

 
Following a scan of the entire system some encrypted sparse bundles remain unscanned by Sophos Anti-Virus. This applies to encrypted sparse bundles that were locked at the time of the scan.

 

Technical background

 

Sophos Anti-Virus can only scan encrypted sparse bundles if they are unlocked. They are only unlocked when the relevant FileVault user is logged in.


What To Do

 

Ensure that the FileVault user is logged in. This allows Sophos Anti-Virus to scan the relevant encrypted sparse bundles.
