I have recently upgraded to v. 8.0.04c on both my Desktop Mac and Laptop Mac Book Pro running OS 10.6.8.
All is well with my Desktop machine but running Sophos on the MBP it installed OK and ran a whole scan OK but on rebooting the following day it continues to be "unable to connect with primary server".
Can anyone help?

Does n't seem to help. One Mac accesses primary server the other doesn't despite installing straight away from a second downloaded installer.
Would updating from a faulty ver. 7 straight to ver. 8 be the caude?

It might be the cause; on another thread, people have found that when they hit this situation, they must fully uninstall and reinstall to fix the problem.
