Can not run custom scan with bootcamp/windows volume excluded

Help!  I have set up a custom scan to exclude the Windows volume.  However, the "play" button is greyed out and I can't run the scan.  Any advice or workarounds?

Re: Can not run custom scan with bootcamp/windows volume excluded

I haven't received a reply here so let me clarify why I want to do this.  I need to workaround my windows 7 volume.  I am desperately trying to exclude this volume from scanning as one of the workarounds that was mentioned was to do a custom scan without the windows volume.  But if I can't run the set up custom scan because the play button is gray, what good was that advice to set up a custom scan???  Someone please address this issue. . . .

Hello mac2010,

But if I can't run the set up custom scan

how did you set up the scan? Did you only specify an exclusion? If so, it is no surprise that the Run button is grey. You have to select at least on Scan item and optionally items to exclude.

Re: Can not run custom scan with bootcamp/windows volume excluded

Thanks QC. . .I thought I had included the balance of the drive and just excluded the bootcamp volume but when I double checked, all that was shown was the exclusion.  It now works.  :smileyvery-happy:
