Re: Given up (temporarily) on Sophos for Mac

Good catch; this is indeed the case.

Re: Given up (temporarily) on Sophos for Mac

Hello, I have excluded the usual Volumes: Time Machine Backups and the wireless Airport Extreme drive it is on. I haven't been able to find Volumes/Mobile Backups while backing up with Time Machine, even with hidden files shown. My computer is still crashing. Any ideas? I am using a MacBook Pro on Lion.

We seem to have two parallel threads going on here.

Once again, you need to exclude /.MobileBackups/ -- /Volumes/MobileBackups/ only shows up when the backup is taking place, and is an NFS mount, not a regular drive/drive image mount.

Re: Given up (temporarily) on Sophos for Mac

How can we put the path "./MobileBackups" in the preferences dialog windows? It can be selected from Finder and CMD-Shift-G doesn't work to put this path. I'm working on Sophos Home Edition.

This is the procedure I do:

Sophos -> Preferences -> select "Excluded items" -> "+"  => Finder opens the dialog windows and the problem is here!

Thanks a lot

The easiest way is to drag the folder from the Finder window to the Sophos window (isn't true drag and drop great?).

Yeah...so simple!

There is another option: Shift-Command-Period in the Finder Open & Save Dialog

Mhhhh... excluding ./MobileBackup and /Volumes/TimeMachine doesn't work on my MBP 10.7.2!

Do you have any other idea?
