I'm trying to install Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, and its failing to completely install. Microsoft asked if I could disable Sophos Anti-Virus, just to eliminate it as the cause of the problem.
How can I temporarily disable all aspects of Sophos Anti-Virus?
You can't temporarily disable all aspects without uninstalling -- but you can disable the on-access component from the Preferences -- this is the part Microsoft was likely talking about, as it's the only part that should impact an installer.
