jsone: I think Apple's instructions say to Uninstall an item, drag the item from the Applications folder into the trash basket in the Dock, and drop it there. Do that. Also, check the MD5 hash of the download file you have to be sure that your installer file on your disk matches exactly versus the Sophos MD5 on their server (consult the download pages for this). Iff it;s not there, check with a knowledgeable acquaintance who runs the same operating system, and if his downloaded file did install and run OK, ask him/her to run the MD5 analyzer on his copy of the program and compare yours vs. his/hers ... If yours doesn't match exactly, then, delete your (defective) download, and browse to the download site again and download it again.If it matches the MD5, then you are ready to install it. Do so!
