Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition

First-time user,  just installed SAV for Mac.  iMac G5 Mac OSX 10.5.8.

Started local scan from standard (non-admin) account.  SAV scanned about 1.5M files out of 5M.  SAV stopped with log message:

"11/6/10 4:42:10 PM Sophos Anti-Virus[16760] .sdef error: Operation could not be completed. (NSXMLParserErrorDomain error 1549.)"

"11/6/10 4:42:10 PM Sophos Anti-Virus[16760] line number: 2"

Nothing in Quarantine Manager.

SAV Free for Mac is a wonderful idea if it works.

That particular error message is a known issue on 10.5, and is logged when launching the GUI, Please see this post in the Help section above: 

Known Issue: .sdef error/ error 1549 in console log when you open the Sophos Anti-Virus window

How did the scan stop? Was there any other error displayed, or anything logged in the "Scan Local Drives" Scan log?

Thanks for the response.

Ok, it appears that there are multiple problems and I've now learned that there are multiple logs to inspect.  It turns out that there were some corrupted files reported.  So I deleted the (unimportant) files and I restarted the local scan.  We'll see what happens.
