Scan local drives

I migrated my user account to a new macbook pro and regardless of which user account I use I cannot get 'scan local drives' to progress beyond the barbershop pole and "calculating".  I've tried starting it from the dropdown menu on the menu bar and I've tried starting by opening the UI and clicking the start scan button.  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Scan local drives

Did you re-install the software using the installer package?

Re: Scan local drives

Yes, I uninstalled and re-installed using the supplied uninstaller.  I have been using the user profile I migrated to try to run the scan but I have also tried running it with the admin user I set up during initial setup of the OS with the same results.

Re: Scan local drives

Did you migrate from a laptop or a desktop?

It's possible that your issue has to do with the local Time Machine backup caching discussed in a couple of other threads.  You may need to exclude the mobilebackups folder.
