I just installed sophos on my imac. It says installation complete. Problem is there is no icon to show sophos exists on the computer. I thought there was supposed to be a shield or something...thanks
You should have Sophos Anti-Virus and Sophos Remove in your Applications folder, and a black shield icon in your menu bar (next to Time Machine, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. icons) For some users, the black shield doesn't show up. There's a good thread about that on these forums (I can't recall the exact link at the moment) that should help you sort that part out.
