Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition

When attempting to insall Mac Home Edition, I get this message:  "The following disk images couldn't be opened  savosx_73_he.dmg  not regocnized"

Sounds like it hadn't finished downloading when you tried to mount it.

Hi,

I am having the same problem just now with savosx_80_he.dmg and I have completed the download before trying to open it.  Any ideas on what I can do?

You're sure the download completed properly?  That error is the error you get when a DMG doesn't have the last bit of the file in place.

I have tried downloading the new(er) version for OSX10.8 several times, & it always fails to be recognised.  The comments above advise that this is because the file has not downloaded fully; is there any reason why it might continually fail to download fully?

I am particularly concerned as I realise that the older version is not working on on my mac anymore (& has not for some time), so I am currently relying on Macs being reasonably resilient, & that I don't click on dodgy links, when I'd prefer the piece of mind of being up to date with my antivirus software.
