I installed Sophos Mobile Security today and am impressed with the malware scanner. (BTW, it found none on my phone!)
However, it seems to insist that "Screen lock is disabled." - I have tried adjusting it to lock Immediately on sleep, and have tried pattern and password modes, but on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it does not seem to make a blind bit of difference, therefore the Loss and Theft features cannot be used.
Is there a workaround, or will there be a fix, for this?

Hello,
we have not heared of the particualr problem yet.
Normally, setting a pin is enough to be able to activate "Loss & Theft".
Please be sure that Sophos Mobile Security is set up as a device administrator.
Maybe a reboot after seeting up a pin helps.

Hello,
we have reproduced taht in our lab (Galaxy Nexus using Android 4.1.1).
It only works if you choose the pattern passcode.
We have given that to development. They will try to fix that for the next release.
